About This Position
Freseniusglobal is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Safety and ISO Systems for our Wilson, North Carolina location. In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of workplace safety and quality management systems, reporting to senior leadership and serving as a key strategic partner in operational excellence. You'll combine technical expertise in ISO standards with strong leadership capabilities to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and foster a safety-conscious workplace culture.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with ISO standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations to identify gaps and drive corrective actions
- Manage and mentor safety team members, providing coaching and professional development opportunities
- Coordinate training programs to ensure all staff understand safety requirements and best practices
- Monitor compliance metrics, report findings to leadership, and recommend system improvements
- Maintain current knowledge of safety regulations and ISO standards relevant to our industry
- Partner cross-functionally to embed safety into daily operations and decision-making
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 5+ years in safety management, quality systems, or compliance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity
- Professional certification (CSP, OHST, or equivalent ISO auditor qualification) or strong commitment to obtaining one
- Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or related management system standards
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
