About the Role

This full-time position offers the opportunity to advance the science behind Prime Video's content discovery platform. You'll work at the intersection of machine learning, behavioral analytics, and entertainment—building systems that help viewers find their next favorite show or movie while optimizing engagement across millions of accounts.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop machine learning models that power personalized recommendations and content discovery
• Conduct large-scale experiments and A/B testing to measure impact and inform product decisions
• Analyze viewing patterns and user engagement data to uncover insights and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to translate science into customer impact
• Research and implement emerging techniques in recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, and personalization
• Build and optimize algorithms that serve millions of requests while maintaining quality, relevance, and latency requirements
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the growth of the personalization science community

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven track record developing and deploying machine learning systems in production at scale
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling, causal inference, experimental design, and A/B testing
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks and processing large datasets
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Passion for understanding user behavior and delivering exceptional customer experiences
