About the Role

LifeStance Health is seeking a licensed clinical mental health therapist to deliver compassionate, high-quality therapeutic care in our Chicago practice. You'll work in a patient-centered environment where clinical excellence and accessibility are equally valued. This role combines direct patient care with collaboration across psychiatry, primary care, and other specialties to support whole-person health outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and psychological assessments to diagnose and treat mental health conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based therapeutic modalities
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to patient needs and goals
• Document clinical progress and maintain detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and care coordinators to optimize patient treatment and outcomes
• Stay current with clinical developments and participate in continuing education opportunities
• Support patients in crisis situations with appropriate intervention and safety planning

What We're Looking For

• Active state license as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or equivalent clinical license
• Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or related mental health field
• Minimum 1–2 years of direct patient care experience in mental health settings
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with diverse patient populations
• Commitment to cultural competence and trauma-informed care practices
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-based healthcare model
