Benson Unified School District is hiring a Special Needs Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year at Benson Primary School in Benson, Cochise County. Position Summary

As a Special Needs Paraprofessional supporting Benson Primary School, you'll be an essential part of our special education team. You'll work directly with students who have diverse learning needs, assisting classroom teachers and special education specialists in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Your role includes providing one-on-one support, facilitating classroom transitions, and helping students develop academic and social skills. You'll report to the Benson Primary School Principal and collaborate daily with educators to ensure every student receives the individualized support they deserve.

Core Duties

• Provide direct instructional support to students identified for special education services
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies
• Support daily living and personal care activities as appropriate
• Facilitate peer interactions and inclusion opportunities during academic and social activities
• Document and communicate student progress to teachers and specialists
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 6 months of experience in childcare, education, or working with children in related roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
