This is a leadership role focused on the systems that power transportation, delivery fulfillment, and logistics operations at enterprise scale.
As the manager of a globally distributed team of onshore and offshore reliability engineers, you will own 24x7 operational responsibility for business-critical supply chain platforms. You will lead incident response, establish SLOs mapped to Critical User Journeys, drive problem management and automation initiatives, and build a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead a combined software engineering and site reliability team accountable for application development, day-to-day operations, and continuous service improvement
- Own 24x7 on-call, incident escalation, and major incident response for supply chain and fulfillment systems; serve as the technical escalation point and communicate impact, scope, and recovery timelines to business and executive stakeholders
- Define and enforce Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) tied to Critical User Journeys; measure and improve availability and performance
- Run a unified reliability practice across multiple domains with a single on-call model, problem review process, and prioritized backlog
- Implement problem management practices focused on root cause analysis, recurring issue elimination, and automation-driven operational efficiency
- Drive adoption of AI and automation to reduce manual toil, accelerate incident resolution, and improve system resilience
- Collaborate with product, engineering, UX, and vendor teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and successful platform implementations
- Oversee change governance, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and destructive testing to prevent incidents and ensure safe deployments
- Maintain observability through meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and proactive monitoring to capture and address issues before they escalate
- Manage engineering capacity, cloud consumption, and technology budgets in alignment with quarterly planning and business objectives
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering talent; conduct performance reviews and support individual development plans
- Partner with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory and corporate policy requirements

- 5+ years of professional experience, including leadership of combined software engineering and operational teams
- Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams, including onshore and offshore resources, across multiple application domains
- Proven ownership of 24x7 on-call, incident response, and escalation processes for business-critical systems
- Strong track record establishing problem management, automation, and continuous improvement practices
- Experience supporting supply chain, transportation, fulfillment, logistics, or customer delivery platforms in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business impact and recovery plans

- Experience with hybrid technology environments including cloud services, on-premises platforms, and relational databases
