Social Media & Marketing – Virtual Assistant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential home services organization in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Our client operates multiple brands in the residential trades sector and is looking for a strategic, creative virtual assistant to own their entire social media and marketing presence. This is a remote role based in the United States, reporting directly to business leadership.

This isn't a typical content scheduler position—you'll be the driving force behind brand storytelling, community engagement, and lead generation across three distinct service brands. You'll have creative autonomy to build scroll-stopping content, manage multi-platform calendars, and coordinate local networking efforts that translate into real business growth.

Responsibilities

• Transform raw photos and video footage into high-performing content including shorts, reels, and standard posts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business Profile
• Build and independently manage content calendars for three distinct brands under one ownership group
• Design engaging social graphics, flyers, and promotional assets using Canva or Adobe tools while maintaining strict brand guideline adherence
• Handle community engagement including comments, DMs, and posting in relevant local Facebook groups to build trust and authority
• Support basic SEO and backlink health tied to Google Business Profile to drive organic inbound leads
• Research and coordinate local trade show and networking opportunities including outreach, event registrations, scheduling, and sponsorship correspondence for events such as Alignable, BNI, and Chamber of Commerce gatherings
• Transition from approval-based work during onboarding to independent strategic ownership as a genuine thought partner

What We're Looking For

• Proven hands-on experience in social media management, graphic design, and video editing with a strong portfolio of work samples
• Ability to bring fresh ideas, professional judgment, and constructive opinions—not just execute tasks
• Thrives in low-oversight environments with ambition to grow into a future marketing supervisor role
• Detail-oriented professional comfortable managing multiple brands simultaneously and adapting content style to match the trades industry tone
• Solid working knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, and Google Business Profile management
• Comfortable with WhatsApp as primary communication tool with business leadership
• Reliable personal computer capable of handling professional-grade design and video editing (BYOD setup)
• Stable high-speed internet connection and quiet work-from-home environment
• Availability aligned with Eastern Time business hours
