Linux Systems Support – Systems Administration

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Linux Systems Support professional to provide ongoing systems administration support across multiple locations. In this role, you will:

• Administer development, test, and production servers, including reloading, re-imaging, and debugging problems
• Install, remove, and upgrade software packages across various server environments
• Perform daily monitoring of network systems, independently initiating proactive measures to ensure functionality, connectivity, and load balance
• Troubleshoot systems and host environments, identifying and resolving faults, inconsistencies, and systemic issues
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement solutions to ensure systems functionality and compliance with organizational standards
• Handle remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance activities, system run enhancements, testing, and staging
• Provide network and systems evaluation and operational reports
• Update systems records and ensure maintenance of accurate documentation
• Ensure software licensing compliance and adherence to company standards
• Assist users by creating instructional how-to guides and providing technical information and training

What We're Looking For

• BA/BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working expertise in Linux systems administration
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required
• Note: This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. Applicants should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
