Senior UI Designer eCommerce

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential outdoor sports brand seeking a Senior UI Designer to elevate their international eCommerce experience. This is a strategic UI role where you'll set new visual standards across customer journeys, working with a mature design system and a high-performing product team near Annecy, France.

You'll join as the UI reference for the eCommerce practice, bringing craft, rigour, and strategic thinking to every interface decision.

Responsibilities

• Drive UI excellence across all eCommerce flows, raising the bar for deliverables, standards, and team practices
• Translate user needs, UX insights, and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX Researchers, front-end developers, CRO teams, and marketing to ship projects smoothly
• Contribute actively to the Figma design system: components, states, documentation, design tokens, and developer handoff
• Participate in user testing, analyse feedback, challenge design decisions, and iterate rapidly to improve experience and conversion
• Champion strategic design culture—question assumptions, align stakeholders, and pull the entire team toward higher quality

What We're Looking For

Experience & Skills:

• At least 7 years in UI Design with a portfolio demonstrating ambitious eCommerce projects and exceptional visual rigour
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, design systems, component libraries, interface states, documentation, and developer handoff workflows
• Proven experience designing complex online conversion funnels—eCommerce ideally, or high-performance lead generation environments
• Fluent English required; French is a strong advantage

• Autonomous and proactive—you seek information, initiate the right conversations, and advance work without hand-holding
• Collaborative and pedagogical—you bring Product Owners, developers, marketers, UX, and CRO teams along through clear, well-reasoned design decisions
• Exacting yet pragmatic—you defend UI quality while balancing technical constraints, performance, accessibility, and feasibility

Working Conditions

Location: Office-based north of Annecy in a bright, spacious environment with parking, electric vehicle charging, carpooling schemes, and on-site cafeteria. Up to 3 days remote per week (10 days per month maximum).
