Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential IT security organization seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Proxmox virtualization. In this role, you will:
- Build, develop, and operate the future virtualization platform based on Proxmox VE
- Plan and execute migration projects as part of the strategic replacement of existing virtualization environments
- Integrate and advance storage, network, and SDN components to ensure a high-performance and highly available infrastructure
- Create operational, architecture, and migration concepts while supporting technology and architecture decisions
- Automate and optimize operational processes while ensuring stable platform operations
What We're Looking For
Our client requires candidates with:
- Successfully completed training in IT, degree in computer science, or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience operating and developing virtualization platforms, plus practical experience with Proxmox VE
- Very strong Linux knowledge and solid expertise in enterprise storage, network architectures, and SDN technologies
- Experience with infrastructure transformation and migration projects, along with strong architectural understanding
- High degree of personal responsibility and willingness to participate in on-call rotations and planned 24/7 maintenance work
- Good German and English language skills
