Produktmanager Snack (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential retail bakery organization seeking a Snack Product Manager to shape their growing snack portfolio. In this key role, you will:

• Develop and manage the strategic direction of the snack assortment, from filled sandwiches and warm snacks to seasonal offerings
• Create new snack products from initial concept through successful rollout across the retail network, while continuously optimizing existing items
• Present product concepts in decision-making forums, including tastings, cost calculations, and market-based arguments
• Collaborate closely with marketing (product management, advertising), procurement (raw materials, supplier terms), and production facilities (manufacturing feasibility)
• Train and coach store teams directly at point of sale to ensure consistent quality execution
• Lead and develop a team of two snack specialists

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking candidates with:

• Completed vocational training in food service (baker, pastry chef, cook, quick-service specialist) or degree in food technology or nutritional science; career changers with strong passion for food and current trends are also welcome
• Several years of experience in product development or assortment management, ideally in bakery, snack, or foodservice sectors (advantageous but not mandatory)
• Strong instinct for food trends and customer needs
• Confident presentation skills and enthusiasm for inspiring people and sharing knowledge
• Initial leadership experience preferred
• Hands-on mentality, business acumen, and willingness to travel within the retail network (Class B driver's license required)
• German language proficiency required for this role in Ludwigshafen, Rheinland-Pfalz
