Senior Tech Operations Specialist (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global transportation technology company in their search for a Senior Technical Operations Specialist. This is a remote position based in Germany, offering the opportunity to work on high-scale systems that serve millions of users daily.

Our client operates a sophisticated B2B technology platform connecting transportation providers across 70+ countries with major online retailers. You'll join their Control Room team, taking ownership of critical monitoring, incident management, and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of high-level monitoring for company operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across the business
• Lead management of escalations and incidents, driving swift resolutions and minimizing impact on business operations
• Conduct in-depth technical investigations and collaborate on designing solutions that address complex challenges
• Leverage data analysis to validate hypotheses, uncover insights, and identify optimization opportunities that drive operational excellence
• Play a pivotal role in supporting and leading strategic and operational projects
• Proactively identify and implement improvements in product and tech systems from an operational perspective
• Build, implement, and refine tools and processes that drive efficiency and streamline workflows, leveraging AI to scale operations
• Manage internal and external communication effectively, collaborating across teams to ensure seamless issue resolution

What We're Looking For

• At least 3+ years of experience in 2nd and 3rd level Technical Support, IT Analyst, Monitoring, or similar roles
• Proven ability to detect root causes of incidents and provide high-level analysis of solution designs
• Product-oriented mindset focused on long-term risk prevention and mitigation strategies, not just immediate fixes
• Strong comfort level investigating complex SQL queries and relational databases
• Ability to develop strategies to predict, prevent, and address potential technical and operational bottlenecks
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Jira, Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic is a significant plus
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues with minimal business disruption
• Fluent English with the ability to communicate complex concepts in simple, understandable terms
• Analytical, independent, and tech-savvy approach to problem-solving
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and heavy context switching

Technical environment includes: PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, BigQuery, and Jira
