About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential database technology company seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their pre-sales organization in Germany. This is a remote position requiring up to 25% travel. Our client is looking for a seasoned technical sales professional who can guide enterprise customers through complex architecture decisions and serve as a trusted technical advisor.

As the Senior Solutions Architect, you will partner closely with sales teams to drive technical wins, design scalable distributed systems, and ensure customer success. You'll work with organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 100 enterprises, helping them solve critical business challenges through modern data platform solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large-scale software projects
• Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies, clearly articulating business value to technical and executive stakeholders
• Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, proof of value exercises, presentations, sizing, and documentation
• Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, and pipeline generation strategy
• Review complex existing application architectures and provide guidance on modernization approaches
• Generate demand through self-driven technical initiatives and participation in industry events and trade shows
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, developing internal champions
• Provide feedback to product teams and mentor other solutions consulting team members
• Stay current with the platform suite and industry trends through ongoing professional development

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 8 to 11 years of related experience in customer-facing technical roles
• 5 to 7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages (Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#)
• Proven experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premise environments
• Demonstrated ability to review complex architectures and provide modernization guidance
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and business audiences
• Strategic thinking skills to develop multi-threaded account strategies
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Authorization to work in Germany

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with database technologies and data modeling
• Background in data engineering or AI/ML projects
• Experience deploying applications on major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Track record transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable technology stacks
• Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message
• Database platform or cloud provider certifications
