About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential hospitality technology organization in their search for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET). Our client is building next-generation property management infrastructure with a strong focus on API-first architecture and AI-powered capabilities. This is an opportunity to work on core platform services that directly impact how the hospitality industry operates.
This role is based in Germany and offers flexible remote and hybrid work options.
Responsibilities
- Implement core platform services using.NET 10 running in Docker containers
- Develop full-stack features from database layer through to APIs
- Ensure platform scalability and maintain a clean, sustainable codebase
- Proactively monitor production services and identify potential issues before they impact users
- Maintain code quality through comprehensive unit and end-to-end testing
- Contribute to an agile, collaborative engineering team where your input shapes technical decisions
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with relevant programming background
- Strong proficiency in.NET backend development
- Hands-on experience with Kafka (or equivalent message brokers), AWS, Docker, ECS/Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, or similar) to accelerate development, troubleshoot code, and generate documentation
- Growth mindset toward exploring new AI technologies that can improve engineering culture and delivery
- Ability to break down large epics into manageable, deliverable issues
- Working knowledge of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS concepts
- Extensive experience with microservices architecture and asynchronous message-based communication
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Kafka for real-time processing
- AWS/Docker expertise in DevOps workflows
- PostgreSQL optimization experience
- German language skills or additional languages
