Senior Software Engineer (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing technology company in the sustainability sector, seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Munich-based team. Our client builds enterprise software that helps industrial organizations measure, manage, and reduce their environmental footprint through data-driven insights.

This is a hands-on technical role where you'll own complex features end-to-end while contributing to platform-level improvements that benefit the entire engineering organization. You'll work in a high-velocity environment where your code directly influences how companies make critical sustainability decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own technically complex product initiatives from problem definition through architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration in production
• Design and build full-stack features that turn fragmented data into actionable insights for enterprise customers
• Contribute to cross-cutting platform improvements focused on reliability, maintainability, and scalability
• Raise technical quality standards through thoughtful system design, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration with engineering peers
• Partner closely with product, design, and customer success teams to transform ambiguous requirements into effective solutions
• Identify and eliminate unnecessary complexity while challenging assumptions to keep the team focused on meaningful customer value
• Mentor and guide other engineers through technical decisions and architectural tradeoffs

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience in high-velocity SaaS environments
• Strong full-stack capabilities with deep understanding of systems end-to-end
• Proven backend development experience, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure
• Clear, precise communication skills in English
• Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership mentality and execution track record
• Product thinking ability—you understand the "why" behind what you build
