Senior Unity Developer – Core Game Tech (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential mobile gaming studio seeking a Senior Unity Developer to join their Core Game Tech team. In this role, you will:

• Design and build shared systems that power multiple live games serving millions of users with dynamic events and scheduled content
• Evaluate and integrate third-party SDKs, manage SDK and Unity version upgrades, and assess impact across the entire game portfolio
• Serve as technical advisor to game development teams, driving standardization and adoption of shared solutions through technical excellence
• Implement compliance and privacy features portfolio-wide, including age assurance APIs, consent management platforms, and GDPR data deletion workflows
• Investigate open-ended technical challenges and translate regulations, vendor changes, and internal requirements into concrete technical specifications
• Work alongside senior technical decision makers to impact multiple products simultaneously

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Ideally 5+ years of professional software development experience in C# and Unity3D (non-gaming experience is also valued)
• Comprehensive understanding of Unity architecture, including native implementations, backend interactions, and performance profiling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence teams across the organization
• Proven experience building libraries, packages, APIs, or developer tooling with an intuition for creating adoptable solutions
• Ability to plan and execute technical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Skill in deriving requirements from ambiguous sources such as regulations, platform policies, and vendor documentation
• Genuine appetite for continuously learning new areas of the technology stack

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience debugging Android and iOS platform code below the C# layer and mobile performance profiling
• Exposure to compliance and privacy work (GDPR, consent management, age assurance, ATT)
• Familiarity with reactive programming, async patterns, and dependency injection frameworks (UniRx, Zenject, UniTask)
• Understanding of mobile gaming market, F2P models, and LiveOps
• Experience using LLMs to enhance development workflows
• Familiarity with Firebase Crashlytics and ANR analysis
