Senior Frontend Engineer – React

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Berlin that connects professionals in the scientific community. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer with deep React expertise to join a collaborative product team focused on building publisher-facing platforms.

This is a full-time position based in Berlin, Germany. You'll work alongside JavaScript and PHP engineers, product managers, UX designers, and writers in a team that values communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build web interfaces using TypeScript and React for new products and features
• Integrate frontend components with backend systems using GraphQL and PHP
• Maintain and enhance existing features and related infrastructure
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
• Take ownership of your solutions and continuously improve them

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of frontend web development experience with TypeScript and React
• Strong CSS expertise
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Knowledge of GraphQL
• Comfort incorporating AI-assisted development tools into your workflow with strong engineering judgment
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and acknowledge areas for growth
• Thoughtful problem-solving approach with curiosity and open-mindedness
• Excellence in designing coherent, user-centric interfaces that handle complex information
• Experience with relational and document-based databases (MongoDB, Postgres) is a plus
• Strong communication skills in distributed work environments
