Senior Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential strategic intelligence firm based in Paris. Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a lean, high-impact engineering team where ownership and autonomy are expected from day one.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Paris for someone who thrives in a small team environment and wants meaningful influence over product and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

You will contribute across the full stack, shipping features that directly serve both end users and internal research teams. Your work will include:

• Building and maintaining customer-facing platform features and internal tooling
• Designing and evolving APIs that power the product ecosystem
• Contributing thoughtfully to AI initiatives, focusing on genuine product value rather than integration for its own sake
• Participating actively in architecture decisions and technical strategy discussions
• Conducting code reviews that elevate team standards and knowledge sharing
• Taking features from initial design through to production deployment
• Exploring and proposing new tools and approaches that improve team effectiveness

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with proven experience building production-grade applications who can operate independently in an evolving codebase. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and able to take full ownership of features without close management.

Required qualifications:

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, NestJS, and GraphQL
• Solid experience with relational databases and data modeling (PostgreSQL via Prisma preferred)
• Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing as standard practice
• Track record of writing maintainable, readable code with the next developer in mind
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Valuable additional experience:

• Workflow automation tools (particularly n8n)
• LLM tooling or AI integration in production environments
• Startup or small team settings requiring versatility across multiple domains
