Senior Quality Engineer Propulsion (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace organization seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to manage quality control activities for propulsion systems. In this role, you will:

• Monitor the entire assembly, integration, and testing cycle of propulsion sub-assemblies, plan and execute quality control activities, evaluate nonconformities, and specify corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct quality checks for ongoing work through regular site inspections, ensuring technical standards are consistently met
• Oversee assembly, testing, and engineering processes by ensuring proper use of tools, materials, and procedures while determining quality metrics
• Understand test requirements and propose solutions to resolve issues, including supporting subsystem testing from a quality perspective
• Create quality and safety documentation
• Plan and organize regular product inspections and manage internal audits
• Prepare quality control plans in accordance with company standards and review documentation
• Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving product quality

What We're Looking For

• University degree in engineering or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in a highly regulated production environment (aerospace, defense, or automotive), with at least 3 years in quality or testing roles
• Experience working with one or more of the following systems: valves, turbomachinery, combustion devices, fluid systems, or subassembly testing
• Experience in statistical quality control methods in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with cause-effect analysis and problem-solving methods (5 Why Analysis, 8D Reports, Fishbone/Ishikawa Diagrams)
• Strong knowledge of AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015; Internal Auditor certification preferred
• Experience with APQP and ISO 9145 is advantageous
• Willingness to travel; driver's license required
• Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous
