About This Opportunity
We are representing a global fintech organization seeking a Senior Software Developer (Front-End) to join their team in Romania. Our client operates at the intersection of accounting technology and cloud-native software, serving professional services firms worldwide. This is a technical leadership role where you'll shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive the evolution of their developer platform while leveraging modern AI-augmented development practices.
Responsibilities
As a senior technical leader, you will:
- Design architecture, prototypes, and technical proposals that deliver business value while aligning with long-term platform vision
- Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, and design discussions across engineering teams
- Partner with architects and tech leads to define and execute product and platform architecture roadmaps
- Break down large initiatives into deliverable increments that provide ongoing business value
- Champion technical proposals through all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Contribute to improving core product build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements in reliability, observability, and monitoring
- Facilitate design discussions within and across teams, representing technical perspectives to stakeholders
- Mentor developers through design reviews, code collaboration, and AI-assisted development practices
- Use AI-assisted development tools (inline completion, conversational assistants, agentic workflows) as standard practice
- Critically evaluate all AI-generated output for correctness, security, and alignment with team standards
- Lead the adoption of agentic automation and establish team practices for safe, effective AI tool usage
- Define and evolve internal developer platform architecture, including monorepo structure and build systems
- Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience across the SDLC
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact across multiple teams
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and Nx monorepo architecture at scale
- Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions or equivalent) for multiple teams
- Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS
- Strong software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and track record of advocating for code quality
- Experience with agentic-AI software development practices
- Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar)
- Proven ability mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes

- Design Systems: Storybook or equivalent component library tooling
