Project Manager (Software Development) – Remote, Latin America

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential software consultancy serving clients across multiple industries. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their remote delivery organization and lead complex software development initiatives for their growing client portfolio.

This role is based remotely in Argentina and requires strong overlap with US business hours. You'll manage critical-path projects with immovable deadlines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and serve as the primary liaison between technical delivery teams and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects against fixed external deadlines including product launches and milestone-based deliverables
• Manage project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Maintain formal risk registers, change-control processes, and client dependency registers with required-by dates and escalation paths
• Coordinate third-party vendor dependencies including contracts, credentials, and integration timelines
• Run Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams and facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
• Develop and track milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and deliver client-facing status reporting
• Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical clients and executive audiences
• Identify, track, and proactively mitigate project risks and dependencies
• Manage distributed engineering teams working on large, complex systems
• Drive accountability and extreme ownership for all project deliverables

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Proven track record delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management
• Experience managing client dependency registers with owners and escalation processes
• Hands-on experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
• Demonstrated ability managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines for multiple concurrent projects
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies and integration timelines
• Strong background running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing reporting
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed teams
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
• Client-focused mindset with extreme ownership and accountability

Preferred qualifications:

• PMP, CSM, or PSM certification
• Experience on projects with regulatory or compliance requirements
• Background working with nearshore US-LATAM delivery teams
