About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential blockchain technology organization seeking Backend Software Engineers with AI/LLM exposure for their early career accelerator program. This is a 3-6 month program based in Hong Kong, Singapore, or Taiwan, designed for current students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in digital assets and distributed systems.

Candidates will work alongside senior engineers on production systems, contributing to backend development while supporting the integration of AI and large language model capabilities into core platforms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend and full-stack feature development, testing, and release cycles for production systems
• Collaborate with senior engineers on module design, API definition, system integration, and deployment workflows including logging, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Write and maintain automated tests and CI/CD configurations to improve code quality and development efficiency
• Support engineering deployment of AI/LLM capabilities such as integrating LLM APIs, building RAG pipelines, and embedding tool/agent functionality into existing platforms
• Help build and maintain datasets and benchmarks for evaluation, track online performance, and assist with debugging
• Produce technical documentation and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and coding best practices
• Proficient in Python (required); experience with Java, Go, TypeScript, or JavaScript is a plus
• Familiar with Git, basic Linux, debugging skills, unit/integration testing, RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Some AI/LLM project or internship experience such as prompt engineering, function calling, RAG, vector databases, or frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph
• Strong ownership mindset, excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to learn quickly
• Able to commit to at least 6 months, 5 days per week

Nice to Have:

• Experience shipping web or backend services; knowledge of caching, message queues, concurrency, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), or observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK)
• Exposure to LLM evaluation, prompt iteration, data feedback loops, or basic fine-tuning workflows
