(Senior) Social Media & Video Editor (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital agency in Berlin seeking a talented (Senior) Social Media & Video Editor to join their creative team. Our client operates at the intersection of social strategy, content creation, and brand storytelling, working with diverse clients to produce engaging social media content that truly resonates with audiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker who can both develop editorial concepts and execute hands-on content production. You'll take ownership of client accounts, develop social formats, lead editorial shoots, and create platform-specific content that drives engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop social media formats and editorial concepts aligned with brand strategy, target audiences, and platform algorithms, including scheduling and publishing
• Provide strategic consulting to clients on the development of their social accounts, bringing fresh ideas and creative impulses
• Manage community engagement and publishing for select accounts while continuously refining editorial guidelines and content standards
• Prepare and oversee editorial shoots, conduct interviews on-site, and identify which scenes and stories will perform best on social platforms
• Execute editorial video editing in Adobe Premiere, transform raw footage into platform-optimized social assets, and coordinate with internal and external editors during post-production
• Write compelling captions, hooks, and social copy for organic content as well as campaign headlines and communication materials

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in social media, editorial, content, or video production—ideally within an agency or production environment
• Strategic and editorial thinking combined with hands-on execution skills
• Strong intuition for social trends, platform dynamics, and relevant content formats
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere; knowledge of additional Adobe programs is a plus
• Experience in editorial shoot preparation and on-set coordination
• Excellent sense for language, storytelling, and adapting to different brand voices
• Strong consulting skills with the ability to confidently advise clients and advocate for your recommendations
• Structured, independent, and reliable working style with ability to manage multiple clients and productions simultaneously
• Fluent German and English language skills
