Senior Sales Engineer, France

About the Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software client in their search for a Senior Sales Engineer based in Paris. This is a customer-facing, revenue-driving role where you will provide technical leadership to the French sales organization, evangelizing data resilience and cloud infrastructure solutions to enterprise and mid-market accounts.

You will own the technical sales cycle—discovery, demos, proof-of-concept, and validation—largely independently, positioning on-premises, cloud, and SaaS solutions that address backup, disaster recovery, security, and increasingly AI-driven customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction and business guidance for the France sales team, accountable for regional revenue goals
• Own discovery, demonstration, and technical validation activities independently to keep opportunities moving without bottlenecks
• Provide technical leadership on data management, resilience, and observability platforms, adapting your message across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments
• Act as a trusted technical consultant, developing and proposing solutions that meet both technology and business requirements
• Deliver technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and C-level executives
• Build champions within customer organizations who advocate for the solution through the full evaluation and buying process
• Lead technical sales calls and qualify opportunities in terms of requirements, competition, decision-making process, and budget
• Collaborate with a small, specialized France SE team built around complementary strengths, contributing your distinct technical expertise and drawing on teammates' skills
• Build strong relationships with account teams, partners, and customers in support of sales objectives

What We're Looking For

• Solid sales engineering experience, preferably in software or data center environments
• Fluent French and business professional English—this is a customer-facing role across the French market
• Fundamental breadth in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics; depth in one or two areas is valued
• Highly driven with a need for success, energetic, hands-on "can do" approach
• Entrepreneurial mindset: willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful
• Thrives in fast-paced environments, capable of handling multiple customer calls and demos per day with immediate follow-up
• Business acumen and experience working with C-level personnel to solve business challenges through technology
• Smart, adaptable, and open-minded
