About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential renewable energy organization based in Achim (near Bremen). This hybrid role offers the chance to shape organic search strategy for a fast-growing e-commerce business operating in a competitive, high-impact sector.

As Senior SEO & AI Search Manager, you'll own the strategic and operational development of the search channel—from traditional SEO and technical architecture through to GEO and AI-powered discovery platforms. You'll identify growth opportunities, set clear priorities, and connect deep SEO expertise with data, e-commerce operations, and emerging search behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Build and continuously evolve a sustainable SEO strategy, identifying scalable topic and content structures for long-term organic growth
• Advance technical SEO architecture in collaboration with e-commerce and external development teams, ensuring a stable and scalable foundation
• Develop the organic search roadmap spanning SEO, technical SEO, content, GEO, and AI Search—ensuring visibility wherever users search and make purchase decisions, today and tomorrow
• Independently analyze Search Console and GA4 data, cleanly separate organic from paid traffic, identify keyword and content cannibalization, and translate insights into concrete action
• Prioritize SEO initiatives based on business impact and resources, establishing clear decision-making processes
• Align content strategy with SEO requirements, integrating optimization processes into brand, creative, and content workflows
• Coordinate cross-functional SEO projects with e-commerce, CRO, and design teams, ensuring early integration into relevant processes
• Maintain full-funnel perspective—understanding how search traffic converts through the entire journey, not just rankings
• Collaborate strategically with external publisher and affiliate partners on content and visibility in a competitive market

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of expert-level SEO experience, ideally in e-commerce or agency environments with strategic responsibility
• Strong foundation in technical SEO, content SEO, and data-driven optimization
• Proven track record developing and implementing sustainable SEO strategies
• Independent mastery of Search Console and GA4, particularly for traffic segmentation and cannibalization analysis
• Experience with or strong interest in GEO and AI Search as core components of modern search strategy
• Excellent analytical skills and confident use of SEO and web analytics tools
• Experience prioritizing complex projects and collaborating across interdisciplinary teams
• Understanding of funnel and conversion logic—thinking beyond ranking positions to business outcomes
• Structured, self-directed work style with strong communication skills
• High affinity for data, processes, and continuous optimization
• Fluency in German required for this role
