(Senior) Financial Controller (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential organization in Berlin seeking a Senior Financial Controller to take ownership of financial planning and analysis. In this role, you will:

• Support monthly and annual financial closings in accordance with HGB (German GAAP)
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses to guide business decisions
• Serve as a finance business partner to accounting and internal stakeholders
• Develop and monitor cash flow planning and ensure liquidity management
• Conduct variance analyses comparing actual results to plan and derive actionable recommendations
• Enhance reporting frameworks, calculations, and key financial metrics
• Optimize controlling processes and support expansion of business intelligence infrastructure
• Ensure data quality and advance finance systems and interfaces

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in finance, controlling, accounting, or comparable commercial qualification
• Several years of professional experience in financial controlling
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly German HGB standards
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP and BI systems
• Excellent analytical capabilities and strong affinity for working with numbers
• Structured, self-directed, and solution-oriented work approach
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial matters clearly
• German at C1/C2 level and English at minimum B2 level
