Head of Supply Chain & Flow Management (w/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential construction technology organization in their search for a Head of Supply Chain & Flow Management based in Berlin. Our client is transforming how multi-story residential buildings are manufactured through industrial offsite production methods and digitalized processes.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for orchestrating end-to-end material flow, production logistics, transport coordination, and construction site supply across multiple concurrent projects. You will lead a team of dispatchers, transport planners, supply analysts, kitting coordinators, and control tower specialists while implementing flow-oriented methodologies from manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the comprehensive flow and supply chain strategy, ensuring synchronized operations across production, transport, and construction site logistics
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team including dispatchers, transport planners, supply analysts, kitting coordinators, and control tower specialists
• Manage cross-project slotting and sequencing based on production capacity, transport availability, and crane resources
• Implement standardized flow methodologies including Takt planning, Theory of Constraints, and Kanban systems adapted for construction environments
• Deploy digital tools for real-time tracking, control tower visualization, and KPI-driven decision making using ERP/APS systems
• Ensure material availability and schedule adherence across all active projects through proactive bottleneck identification and corrective action
• Collaborate closely with Project Management, Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Operational Excellence to maintain flow stability
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives addressing structural constraints in transport, capacity planning, supplier performance, and factory-to-site synchronization
• Represent Supply Chain & Flow in management meetings, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional steering committees
• Establish a flow-oriented culture and modern supply control tower operating model

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or comparable technical or business field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with several years in takt- and flow-oriented organizations (construction, modular building, timber construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, or mechanical engineering)
• Proven leadership experience in dynamic, complex, and high-growth environments
• Deep understanding of material flow, production logistics, takt planning, bottleneck management (Theory of Constraints), transport logistics, and digital supply chain control
• Experience working with ERP/APS systems, track-and-trace tools, ETA monitoring, and KPI-driven control tower setups
• Strong communication and facilitation skills across all organizational levels
• Fluent German language skills (negotiation-level), very good English proficiency
• Passion for industrialized construction, data-driven flow control, and developing scalable construction processes
