Supply Chain Leader (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace organization seeking a Supply Chain Leader to own the end-to-end supply chain for a new development programme. This role brings together Planning, Purchasing, and Fast Make Manufacturing under unified leadership, creating a responsive supply chain capable of supporting rapid engineering development and transition into production.

You will develop and implement supply-chain strategy for the development programme, leading cross-functional teams and establishing scalable processes to support development through production. Your responsibilities include:

• Owning material and capacity planning aligned to programme milestones
• Developing sourcing strategies and building a capable, responsive supplier base
• Leading the Fast Make / prototyping capability supporting rapid engineering iteration
• Embedding Supply Chain into the engineering development process from the earliest stages
• Establishing critical component and supplier risk management processes
• Providing clear supply-chain performance, risk, and recovery reporting to senior leadership
• Driving build readiness and resolution of material shortages and constraints
• Managing supplier Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance
• Reducing prototype manufacturing lead times while maintaining appropriate quality controls
• Establishing KPIs covering material availability, supplier performance, prototype lead time, and programme readiness

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a leader with significant experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or Procurement who can deliver:

• Significant leadership experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or Procurement
• Experience supporting complex engineering or new product development programmes
• Strong understanding of Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing
• Experience with prototype, low-volume, or fast-turn manufacturing
• Proven supplier management and commercial capability
• Experience building and developing high-performing supply-chain teams
• Ability to operate effectively across Engineering, Operations, and Programme Management
