Senior Security Engineer – Remote

CLANX is recruiting a Senior Security Engineer to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. We're seeking an experienced security professional to lead our infrastructure and application security initiatives across a sophisticated AI platform serving regulated enterprise markets.

About This Position

This is a core security leadership role at CLANX, responsible for establishing and maintaining industry-leading security practices. You'll own the security architecture of our systems, from infrastructure through application layers, while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. This remote position offers the opportunity to shape security culture and practice at a pivotal stage of our growth.

What You'll Do

• Design and oversee comprehensive security across infrastructure, applications, and cloud deployments
• Execute systematic penetration testing and proactively uncover security gaps across systems
• Establish security review processes and promote secure development practices across engineering teams
• Strengthen controls protecting sensitive data—access governance, encryption implementation, comprehensive audit logging, and hardened infrastructure
• Champion compliance programs and certification work for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements
• Coordinate with Engineering, DevOps, and ML teams to integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Continuously advance our security posture through threat identification and organization-wide remediation leadership

Skills & Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of direct experience in Security Engineering
• Demonstrated expertise in Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment methodologies
• Strong foundation in Application Security and Code Security practices
• Proficiency identifying security risks across codebases, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure security architectures and best practices
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes security hardening
• Familiarity with security tooling including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management platforms
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance requirements
• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD systems
• Excellent written and spoken English communication abilities
• Experience securing AI and machine learning systems is a valuable plus
