Senior Project Manager für digitale Verwaltungsprojekte – Migration und Inneres (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector digitalization firm seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead digital transformation projects focused on migration and interior administration. In this role, you will oversee complex IT and digitalization initiatives with significant societal impact, managing projects end-to-end using agile or hybrid methodologies.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing scope, timeline, budget, quality, and risk across full project lifecycles for public administration digitalization initiatives
• Leading interdisciplinary project teams working across diverse technological contexts, including digital administrative services, specialized applications, content management systems, form management platforms, and custom IT solutions
• Serving as the central interface between internal teams and external stakeholders, coordinating closely with public administration clients
• Translating client requirements into viable IT solutions and digital processes, guiding implementation from concept through successful go-live
• Supporting clients with digital transformation questions and identifying opportunities for enhancing existing projects and solutions
• Ensuring structured and reliable collaboration within project teams and maintaining strong client relationships

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Several years of experience managing development or digitalization projects with demonstrated ability to independently steer projects end-to-end
• Proven track record leading interdisciplinary project teams and confidently managing scope, budget, timeline, quality, and risk
• Experience with public administration digitalization projects and/or subject-matter knowledge in migration and interior affairs (strongly preferred)
• Strong client orientation, viewing project management as a delivery role and communicating effectively across all organizational levels
• Solid command of agile and/or classical project methodologies; experience with scaled agile approaches or hybrid project setups is a plus
• Relevant project management or agile certification such as PRINCE2, PMI, Scrum PSM/PSPO (preferred)
• Completed university degree providing the foundational expertise for this role
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
