Senior Project Manager – Digital Communications (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital consultancy in Berlin seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead digital communications projects. Our client specializes in creating digital solutions with societal impact, working with public sector and adjacent organizations across Germany.

In this role, you will manage complex CMS-based websites and information platforms, guiding projects from concept through delivery and ongoing operations. You'll work at the intersection of technology, digital communications consulting, creative development, and content strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead demanding digital implementation projects, ensuring scope, budget, quality, and timeline objectives are met
• Manage CMS-based communication projects including websites, information platforms, and their ongoing development and operations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams spanning technology, digital communications, creative, content, and UX disciplines
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and translate them into concrete project goals and solutions
• Identify growth opportunities and new needs within existing client relationships, developing projects in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Contribute project expertise to proposals, RFPs, and pitch presentations
• Manage diverse stakeholders effectively, maintaining clarity and commitment even in complex project situations

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience managing digital implementation projects, ideally involving websites, information platforms, or other CMS-based solutions
• An active approach to project management—not just administration, but shaping projects, solutions, and client relationships
• Genuine interest in understanding clients and their challenges, recognizing potential, and developing appropriate solutions with interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort working with both technical teams and disciplines such as communications, UX, design, creative, and content
• Experience with both agile and traditional project methodologies, applied appropriately to each situation (certifications are a plus but not required)
• Ideally, experience with public sector or public-adjacent projects
• Completed degree or comparable practical qualification
• Confident communication skills with various stakeholders and excellent German language proficiency (written and spoken)
• Experience in presales, business development, RFPs, or proposal development is a plus
