Senior Programme Manager – Data Quality & Transformation

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential Tier 1 investment bank seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead a critical Data Quality & Transformation initiative. This fixed-term contract role, based in Canary Wharf, London, begins in September 2026 and offers an exceptional opportunity to shape a high-profile programme focused on client reference data remediation across Front Office business areas.

You will establish governance frameworks, align senior stakeholders across business and technology functions, and deliver a clear roadmap for sustainable data quality improvement. This role demands strong programme leadership combined with deep investment banking and data expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document current state of client reference data quality issues across the organisation
• Establish comprehensive programme governance including RAID management, reporting cadences, steering committees and stakeholder forums
• Define programme scope, structure and delivery approach for complex data remediation initiatives
• Drive adoption of data management best practices across Front Office business areas
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders across Front Office, Operations and Technology functions at Director and Managing Director level
• Drive prioritisation and sequencing of remediation workstreams to maximise business value
• Identify opportunities for business process improvement and lead associated change initiatives
• Coordinate and manage analyst resources across multiple programme workstreams
• Support wider data readiness activities, including AI-related initiatives
• Provide regular programme updates and executive reporting to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

• Extensive programme or project management experience within investment banking or financial services
• Strong Front Office experience, ideally across Fixed Income, Credit, Rates or FX
• Proven track record delivering data quality, data governance, reference data or data transformation programmes
• Experience establishing programme governance and managing delivery across multiple stakeholders and complex workstreams
• Demonstrated success driving business process change within large, complex financial organisations
• Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders at Director and Managing Director level effectively
• Strong understanding of the relationship between business processes, data architecture and technology
• Experience working with data platforms or supporting AI/data readiness initiatives (advantageous)
• Valid UK working permit is mandatory

Pay
