Senior Product Designer, Core Platform

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded AI technology company in their search for a Senior Product Designer to join their Core Platform team in Berlin. Our client is building next-generation enterprise software that enables businesses to optimize customer interactions at scale.

This is a unique platform design role focused on horizontal frameworks and shared capabilities that power multiple products. You'll be designing the foundational systems that enable internal teams and external customers to build, customize, and scale—not individual feature flows.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, self-service frameworks that solve cross-cutting concerns once and enable reuse across products and customer deployments
• Create enterprise-ready experiences for platform capabilities including IAM, data management, internationalization, accessibility, integrations, and developer tools
• Partner with Platform Product Management and engineering leadership to shape platform strategy and roadmap
• Prototype rapidly using AI-assisted tools, then apply rigor to deliver production-quality enterprise experiences
• Map how data, permissions, and services flow across products and translate complex technical architectures into clear mental models
• Drive cross-functional alignment by understanding stakeholder needs and securing buy-in for platform adoption
• Elevate craft standards and help the team develop a shared understanding of quality
• Balance speed and polish—ship iteratively while maintaining high standards

What We're Looking For

• Education in Design, HCI, or Interaction Design, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience designing large-scale B2B or enterprise platforms, data-intensive applications, or developer/operations tools
• Strong systems thinking and technical fluency—you understand how platforms work under the hood
• AI-native workflow: comfortable using Claude Code, Cursor, MCP, or similar tools to prototype faster and explore solutions beyond traditional design tooling
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end platform thinking, complex workflows, and elegant solutions to hard problems—not just isolated UI screens
• Blend of UX skills including interaction design, prototyping, visual design, and user research
• Curious, adaptable, and collaborative—you thrive in team environments and learn quickly
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
