Sr Product Analyst - SumUp - Berlin, Germany

Position Summary

The Central Product Analytics team at SumUp is pivotal in enhancing the experience of millions of merchants using our products daily. As a Senior Product Analyst focusing on Engagement, you will own the domain covering merchant engagement, product activation, support responses, and navigation across the SuperApp and web dashboard. This role offers the chance to build measurement foundations from scratch, moving the team towards proactive decision-making driven by insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define event taxonomies and measurement plans, implement tracking, and ensure analytics are integrated into new product features from day one.
  • Build and maintain scalable datasets in Snowflake for funnels, customer behavior models, and feature adoption metrics to inform product decisions.
  • Evaluate A/B tests by defining success metrics, assessing statistical validity, and clearly communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Create intuitive dashboards and reusable query templates in Tableau to empower teams to self-serve their analytics needs.
  • Partner with product managers to develop KPI trees, identify measurement gaps, and improve engagement tracking accuracy.

We are seeking a seasoned Data or Product Analyst who has demonstrated success in translating customer behavior data into actionable product decisions. Advanced proficiency in SQL is essential for writing, optimizing, validating queries, building data models, and participating in code reviews.
