About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking Physics experts to join their remote training data team. This contract role involves designing challenging, deterministic problems that push the boundaries of AI reasoning in technical domains. You'll create rigorous physics content with verifiable solutions used directly in frontier model development.
Location: France (Remote)
Type: Contract / Part-time
Commitment: 20 to 40 hours per week
Duration: 2 months, with potential extension
Responsibilities
- Design advanced physics problems for AI training and evaluation that test deep reasoning and multi-step analysis
- Create deterministic problems with exactly one correct answer
- Write complete, verified solutions with clearly documented reasoning processes
- Develop original problems that reflect real physics workflows, not memorization tasks
- Build simulations, models, or computational workflows using Python or specialized tools where relevant
- Ensure all outputs are technically precise, reproducible, and well-written in English
What We're Looking For
- Master's or PhD in Physics or closely related field
- Strong research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
- Strong Python skills with scientific libraries such as numpy, scipy, or similar
- Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem solving
- Ability to design original, challenging problems that genuinely test advanced reasoning
- Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
Nice to Have:
- Experience with simulation tools or domain-specific physics software (e.g., finite element tools, circuit simulators, symbolic systems)
- Background in computational physics, statistical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, or related areas
- Experience evaluating model reasoning, benchmarking, or designing technical assessments
