Senior People Development Partner

Join WGU as a Senior People Development Partner in our Salt Lake City, UT office. This is a full-time position where you'll drive organizational talent strategy, employee engagement, and career development initiatives across our growing team.

What This Role Involves

As a Senior People Development Partner, you are a strategic HR business partner responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that cultivate talent, foster professional growth, and strengthen organizational culture. This role sits at the intersection of human resources strategy and operational execution, supporting managers and employees in reaching their full potential while aligning people initiatives with WGU's mission and business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Partner with senior leadership and department managers to identify talent development gaps and create targeted learning, mentoring, and career progression programs
• Design and deliver professional development curricula, coaching frameworks, and succession planning initiatives
• Oversee employee engagement surveys, feedback mechanisms, and action planning to foster a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety
• Support hiring teams in talent acquisition strategy, candidate experience, and onboarding excellence
• Champion performance management processes, coaching leaders on difficult conversations and employee development planning
• Analyze workforce data and trends to inform people strategy and report progress to senior leadership
• Model and reinforce WGU's values and culture through your own leadership and team engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a people development, organizational development, or HR business partner role
• Demonstrated expertise in talent management, learning and development program design, and employee engagement strategy
• Strong coaching and communication skills, with ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, data analysis tools, and HR compliance best practices
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, or similar frameworks is a plus
