The Opportunity
As a School Compliance Analyst for the School of Education at WGU, you'll serve as a key member ensuring all academic programs and educational initiatives align with regional and national compliance requirements. Working in our Salt Lake City headquarters, you'll bridge the gap between complex regulatory frameworks and program delivery, directly supporting the institution's mission to provide accessible, high-quality education.
Responsibilities
- Monitor changes in state, federal, and accreditation regulations affecting education programs and alert stakeholders to new compliance requirements
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, including policy reviews, audit materials, and regulatory submissions
- Coordinate with academic departments and program teams to ensure curriculum design and delivery meet all compliance standards
- Conduct compliance assessments, identify gaps in current practices, and recommend corrective actions
- Support accreditation reviews, self-study preparation, and institutional audit processes
- Track updates from accrediting bodies and regional higher education authorities, translating requirements into actionable departmental guidance
- Maintain detailed compliance records and databases across all programs in the School of Education
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, public administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of professional experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, education administration, or similar capacity
- Solid understanding of accreditation standards and federal and state higher education regulations
- Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in documentation
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory language and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database management systems
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
