Senior O&M Asset Manager – Europe

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior O&M Asset Manager to lead asset management operations across Europe. This is a senior-level position based in London, offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence and profitability across a growing portfolio of solar and energy storage assets.

Our talent team is conducting a thorough search for an experienced asset management professional who can provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and team development in this critical role.

Responsibilities

• Hold senior accountability for asset management of PV and battery energy storage portfolios across Europe, ensuring compliance with service agreements, performance targets, and budgets
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Asset Managers, setting objectives and building team capability
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex technical, contractual, warranty, and service issues
• Perform advanced contract analysis, identifying risks and optimization opportunities, and support service agreement negotiations
• Provide senior technical oversight by reviewing root cause analyses, interpreting SCADA data, and assessing equipment performance
• Manage service partner performance in collaboration with procurement and operations teams, focusing on cost control and quality
• Drive data-driven asset management including availability analysis, spare parts strategy, and lifecycle cost optimization
• Ensure cross-functional coordination with project delivery, sales, engineering, and central teams
• Contribute to profitability through cost optimization, risk management, and performance-driven decision-making
• Champion continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and asset reliability across the European function

What We're Looking For

• Degree in engineering, business, contracting, or related technical field
• Strong technical background in photovoltaic and battery energy storage technologies
• Extensive experience in O&M asset management, managing complex portfolios and long-term service agreements
• Advanced expertise in contract analysis including warranties, service level agreements, penalties, and risk allocation
• Proven ability to review and validate root cause analyses and analyze SCADA data at senior decision-making level
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams with ability to coach performance and drive accountability
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills with customers and service partners
• Highly analytical, structured, and commercially minded with focus on profitability and value creation
• Fluency in English required; additional European languages are advantageous
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Ability to operate effectively in multicultural, matrix organizations with senior leadership interaction
