About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential food manufacturing organization in their search for a Senior National Account Manager to lead growth within the foodservice channel. This is a hybrid role based in London, focusing on managing one of the UK's largest foodservice distributors and driving category expansion across contract catering, hospitality, and QSR segments.
In this role, you will own the full P&L for a major national account, delivering ambitious sales and margin targets while embedding a strategic joint business plan. You will be responsible for pricing, promotions, trade spend management, and new product launches. Your work will directly influence how plant-based and culinary innovation reaches professional kitchens across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete P&L for a key foodservice distributor account, managing pricing, promotions, trade spend, and accruals to achieve growth targets
- Lead the development and execution of the joint business plan, negotiating annual trading terms and ensuring optimal brand positioning
- Build and maintain relationships across all levels of the distributor organization, from senior buyers to depot and logistics teams
- Deliver new product development and innovation launches on time and within budget, working closely with culinary and new business development teams
- Execute a push-pull strategy by engaging end users including contract caterers, pubs, hotels, restaurants, and QSR operators to drive brand presence and volume
- Collaborate with internal supply chain, demand planning, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery
What We're Looking For
- Proven foodservice experience managing major distributor accounts such as Bidfood, Brakes, or Booker
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to own and manage a P&L
- Confident negotiation skills with the ability to sell on brand value rather than price alone
- Experience working in fast-paced, lean team environments during periods of change
- Resilient, solution-oriented mindset with ability to navigate complex commercial challenges
- Genuine interest in food culture, culinary trends, and consumer behavior in the out-of-home market
- Understanding of how taste, nutrition, and functionality drive innovation in foodservice categories
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
