(Senior) Manager – SAP S/4HANA Controlling (SAP CO) (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting organization that serves manufacturing and industrial clients across Europe. They are currently seeking a Senior Manager to lead SAP S/4HANA Controlling implementations and transformations for their German-speaking client base. This role offers significant responsibility in shaping enterprise resource planning solutions for market-leading organizations.

Our talent team is looking for an experienced SAP CO professional who can manage complex international projects, mentor teams, and drive process optimization initiatives. You'll work on end-to-end implementations spanning multiple countries and business units.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and control international SAP ERP and S/4HANA implementation, transformation, and rollout projects with a Controlling focus
• Serve as the technical authority for defining end-to-end business processes in the Controlling module
• Implement new solutions and strategies to optimize global SAP systems
• Analyze, design, and deploy business processes aligned with client requirements
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, developing solution proposals that balance business and capacity considerations
• Support pre-sales activities and relationship development with clients
• Contribute to methodology development and continuous improvement of project delivery frameworks
• Lead and develop team members technically and professionally

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed university degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing, executing, and leading SAP ERP projects with Controlling emphasis
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA environments
• Experience harmonizing business processes within manufacturing or industrial organizations
• Strong methodological expertise in project management
• Fluent German and English required; additional languages advantageous
• Analytical and conceptual thinking with proven communication skills across all management levels in multicultural settings
• Willingness to travel, including occasional international assignments
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Heidelberg area in Baden-Württemberg, Germany
