Senior Fullstack Engineer (LLMs & AI Agents)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential AI technology company based in Munich that is building production-grade applications powered by large language models. Our client is moving rapidly in a competitive market and needs a senior engineer who is passionate about AI systems and agent development.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to ship real AI products and work at the intersection of backend infrastructure and cutting-edge LLM capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend systems powered by large language models
• Develop agent workflows and tool integrations for multi-step AI operations
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines with vector search capabilities
• Handle prompt orchestration and context management across complex workflows
• Optimize AI system performance, latency, and cost at scale
• Ship AI features into production products with a focus on reliability and user experience

What We're Looking For

• Strong fullstack engineering experience with Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Nest.js
• Cloud infrastructure experience, particularly with GCP
• Deep hands-on experience working with LLMs and AI APIs in production environments
• Proven experience building AI agents or multi-step autonomous workflows
• Practical knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar
• RAG implementation experience including chunking strategies and retrieval optimization
• Strong prompt engineering and AI system design capabilities
• Production deployment experience with AI systems
• Ownership mindset with the ability to move quickly and go the extra mile
