Senior Engineering Project Manager – ADAS Homologation (M/W/D)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential automotive technology organization seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead the homologation of advanced driver-assistance systems across Europe and China. This is a strategic role at the intersection of engineering, regulation, and customer engagement, ensuring next-generation safety and comfort features meet all regulatory and customer expectations on the path to mass production.

Based in Munich, you will serve as the critical link between engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and major automotive manufacturers, driving complex certification programs from concept through series production.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, and execute semi-autonomous vehicle programs for globally recognized automotive manufacturers
• Own end-to-end homologation of ADAS and automated driving systems for EU and China markets, including UNECE regulations, Euro NCAP, and type approval processes
• Act as single point of contact for homologation affairs across engineering and commercial domains, enabling rapid decision-making and cross-functional alignment
• Manage type approval roadmap, timeline, integration, delivery, and monitoring from initial concept through start of production
• Translate regulatory and customer requirements into executable plans by leading technical workshops, test drives, system tuning, and validation activities for driving and safety functions
• Coordinate with OEMs, technical services, and regulatory authorities throughout certification and approval phases
• Drive resolution of internal and external escalations, reducing delivery risk and maintaining customer confidence throughout program lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
• 7+ years of experience in technical project or program management within automotive or high-tech industries
• Strong understanding of ADAS and automated driving development lifecycles
• Solid knowledge of European regulations, particularly UNECE frameworks; familiarity with Chinese standards is a strong plus
• Proven experience leading multi-site, cross-disciplinary teams and working directly with OEMs or certification bodies
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
• Fluent English required; German language skills are a plus
• Willingness to travel within Europe and to China as program needs require
