Senior Engineer (m/w/d) — On-Site & Vollzeit

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization based in Munich that is transforming how businesses access financing through digital, intelligent solutions. Our client serves thousands of entrepreneurs and is now seeking a Senior Engineer to join their experienced technical team immediately.

This is a critical role with substantial ownership over business-critical systems. You'll work in a small, highly skilled team where your contributions will directly impact the platform's reliability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate reliable, maintainable software solutions in a production environment
• Own important projects end-to-end—from problem definition through implementation to ongoing operations
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks, and translate business and product requirements into effective, pragmatic technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with product teams, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor other developers and help evolve the team's technical standards and working practices

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-starter with critical thinking abilities, clear prioritization skills, and the drive to see initiatives through to completion
• Curiosity and motivation to independently acquire missing knowledge
• Solid foundation in software development with practical experience building and operating production systems
• Ability and willingness to work primarily on-site at the Munich office

Preferred:

• Professional German language skills
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment
• Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, AWS, Docker, Node.js, React, GraphQL, serverless or event-driven architectures
• Experience working in a small team with broad individual scope of responsibility
