Working Student | Accounting & Finance (m/f/d)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a fast-growing energy technology client based in Munich. They're building software solutions that support the renewable energy sector, and they need a motivated Working Student to join their Finance team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take real ownership of accounting processes, work closely with experienced finance professionals, and gain exposure to international operations. The position offers flexible hours around your studies (minimum 15 hours per week) with a hybrid setup—one day per week in their central Munich office, with the option to come in more often if you prefer. This role has strong potential to convert into a permanent position upon graduation.

Responsibilities

You'll be involved in core finance operations that keep the business running smoothly:

• Lead portions of Accounts Payable processing for German and US entities—reviewing invoices for accuracy under HGB and US-GAAP standards, applying correct accounts and cost centers, and preparing payments for approval
• Assist with monthly closing activities by coordinating with internal stakeholders and tax advisors, ensuring expenses are properly recorded with complete supporting documentation
• Support monthly financial reporting, including cost and budget tracking
• Own the documentation of finance processes, creating guides for auditors, tax advisors, and colleagues
• Additional exposure to expense management optimization, Accounts Receivable tasks including invoicing and revenue recognition, and process improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a comparable field
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to identify what needs doing, take ownership, and deliver reliable results
• Comfortable working with financial data and spreadsheets
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly to various stakeholders
• Solid interest in practical accounting work with basic knowledge of accounting principles (HGB, US-GAAP)
• Interest in tax, cost, and budget reporting
• Fluent English (required) and German at B2 level or higher
• Prior exposure to DATEV, QuickBooks, or similar expense management tools is a plus

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai will be determined based on your academic level and experience, typically ranging from €16 to €18 per hour.
