About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential energy sector organization in Berlin seeking a Senior Controller to join their finance team. This is a senior-level role offering significant responsibility in financial planning, analysis, and reporting with substantial room for professional development and strategic input.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain management reporting, financial analyses, and key performance indicators for leadership and business units
• Lead budgeting processes and coordinate with stakeholders across the organization
• Manage forecasting and mid-year planning cycles
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to management
• Prepare decision-relevant evaluations and presentations for senior leadership
• Collaborate closely with accounting teams to ensure data quality and plausibility
• Optimize and advance existing controlling processes and systems
• Participate in finance-related projects and strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Economics, Business Administration, or comparable field with focus on Finance or Controlling
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in a comparable senior position
• Strong understanding of business economics and planning/reporting processes
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools highly desirable
• Pronounced affinity for numbers, analytical strength, and problem-solving competency
• Structured working style, strong communication skills, and hands-on mentality
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) required; good English skills advantageous
