Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential insurance brokerage organization in Dortmund that is seeking a Data Management & AI Specialist to drive their digital transformation. In this role, you will ensure reliable processing of client and contract data, maintain system integrations, and transform manual workflows into efficient digital processes.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing and structuring client and contract data within broker management systems, identifying duplicates and inconsistencies to maintain data integrity
• Configuring and monitoring digital retrieval of insurance documents and data, ensuring correct assignment to clients and contracts
• Importing and processing industry-standard data formats, reconciling them with existing records and resolving transmission errors
• Maintaining integrations between broker management platforms, insurance carriers, pools, and related applications
• Supporting the integration of acquired insurance portfolios through data preparation, transfer, and quality control
• Identifying recurring manual tasks and developing automated workflows for document assignment, data maintenance, and internal processes
• Testing and integrating AI applications for document recognition, information extraction, and operational support while validating output quality
• Documenting processes clearly and supporting the team in adopting new digital workflows

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate with:

• Completed training in insurance, IT, or commercial fields with a strong technical focus, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with insurance data, broker management systems, or digital administrative processes
• Knowledge of industry data standards and interface management is highly valued; willingness to learn specific systems with appropriate background and motivation
• Proficiency in Excel for structured data preparation, reconciliation, and error checking
• Practical experience with automation tools such as Make or Power Automate, or strong interest in developing these skills
• Hands-on experience using AI applications and ability to assess where they add value versus where human oversight is required
• Familiarity with APIs, data formats including CSV, XML, or JSON, and basic programming knowledge is a plus
• Meticulous, analytical, and self-directed work style with ability to maintain oversight of complex data sets and systematically troubleshoot issues
• Responsible handling of sensitive client and contract data with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• German language proficiency required for this role in Dortmund
