Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential database technology organization seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer to join their professional services division. This remote role, based in Paris, offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across multiple industries—from enterprise financial institutions to innovative startups—solving sophisticated technical challenges and driving successful implementations.

You'll serve as a technical advisor, working across the complete application lifecycle while gaining cross-stack experience and building lasting client relationships. This position combines deep technical work with customer collaboration, training delivery, and strategic consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer implementations across all application lifecycle phases: portfolio assessment, architecture design, development, deployment, integration, testing, production operations, and optimization
• Deliver classroom-based technical training to architects, developers, and operations teams
• Collaborate with consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams on delivery initiatives
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, building your reputation through successful client outcomes
• Partner with product and engineering teams to provide field insights that influence product development
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Maintain billable utilization targets while ensuring client success
• Continuously improve personal skills, team processes, and delivery methodologies

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience, ideally across multiple industries
• Strong competence in at least one programming language: Java, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Go
• Hands-on experience with database technologies such as relational and NoSQL systems
• Linux diagnostics and tuning expertise; Windows tuning knowledge is advantageous
• Deep understanding of enterprise-scale software architectures and application development methodologies
• Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
• High motivation for roles combining technical depth with customer management
• Confidence presenting and speaking in collaborative client environments
• Comfortable with occasional travel to customer sites (up to 15%)
• Fluency in both French and English languages required
