About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting organization that serves enterprise clients across manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, and chemical industries. Our talent team is currently seeking experienced SAP Authorization Consultants to join a specialized practice focused on delivering security, compliance, and user-optimized authorization solutions across diverse SAP landscapes.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge SAP technologies—from classic ECC systems to the latest S/4 HANA and SAP Public Cloud platforms—while partnering with a collaborative, international team of authorization specialists.

This is a full-time or part-time position based in Freiburg im Breisgau, with hybrid flexibility combining home office and on-site days.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive, cross-process SAP authorization concepts for diverse system types including S/4, ECC, BW, HCM, GTS, and EWM
• Conduct extensive analysis of existing SAP authorization frameworks and identify optimization opportunities
• Implement technical role customizing based on client-specific requirements
• Troubleshoot authorization issues through root cause analysis and deliver practical solutions
• Maintain existing role concepts including modifications, extensions, and periodic maintenance activities
• Deliver presentations and facilitate workshops for clients and stakeholders
• Pursue continuous learning in emerging SAP authorization topics and methodologies
• Collaborate within an experienced, international team environment

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of hands-on experience designing, building, implementing, and maintaining SAP authorization concepts
• Proven track record analyzing and resolving authorization errors
• Strong conceptual and analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and genuine enjoyment working with people
• Fluency in both German and English
• Willingness to travel, including occasional international assignments
• Genuine interest in continuous learning and professional development within SAP authorization domains
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements balancing remote and office presence
