Sr. Solutions Architect – Lakebase

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their specialized product go-to-market team. In this role, you will:

• Partner directly with account executives to devise and implement territory strategies across assigned accounts, driving adoption of an emerging transactional database product line
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor and champion, building credibility with client stakeholders to accelerate product adoption and strategic vision
• Design and deliver high-impact client engagement strategies in collaboration with go-to-market leadership and field teams
• Enable clients at scale through technical workshops and customer-facing collateral that advances thought leadership and product knowledge
• Act as tier-3 escalation point for the most complex technical challenges, ensuring customer success in mission-critical environments
• Translate field-derived insights into strategic recommendations that influence product roadmap priorities with engineering and product teams
• Develop presentations, demos, and technical assets that empower clients to make informed adoption decisions
• Collaborate with Global System Integrators and consulting partners to drive customer outcomes

What We're Looking For

Core Technical Requirements:

• 10+ years of transactional database (OLTP) expertise spanning engineering, product development, administration, and pre-sales with proven success designing client-facing solutions
• Demonstrated credibility influencing OLTP products with market insight to shape roadmap capabilities
• Experience architecting solutions that integrate transactional systems within Big Data, lakehouse, and AI ecosystems
• Deep infrastructure and platform expertise including disaster recovery, high availability, backup/recovery, scale-out methods, identity and security management, and migrations (vendor-to-vendor, on-premises to cloud)

Professional Competencies:

• 6+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles influencing technical executives and driving data strategy adoption
• Proven ability to co-plan large territories with sales teams and coordinate across cross-functional go-to-market and R&D organizations
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for programming, debugging, and problem-solving
• Hands-on experience building solutions within major public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Broad experience across two or more of: data engineering, data warehousing, AI/ML, governance, transactional systems, application development, and streaming
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or similar technical field
• Track record of driving complex projects to completion in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
• Based in or able to cover the Berlin/Munich region
