About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential public sector consulting organization seeking a Senior Consultant for digital government transformation projects in Hamburg. This role focuses on migration and internal affairs, where you'll shape digital solutions that have direct societal impact. You'll work with public administration clients on complex digitalization initiatives in politically and socially relevant areas, developing sustainable solutions from initial concept through successful implementation.

Responsibilities

• Advise public sector clients on demanding IT and digitalization projects with particular focus on migration, internal affairs, and internal security topics
• Collaborate with clients to develop administrative processes and digital services, challenge existing workflows, and structure decisions
• Analyze complex technical, organizational, and procedural issues to develop target frameworks, options, and concrete recommendations
• Design and facilitate workshops, interviews, and alignment sessions, bringing together diverse perspectives and guiding stakeholders through decision-making and change processes
• Bridge administration, technical requirements, and technology by structuring and prioritizing requirements and translating needs into viable digital solutions alongside interdisciplinary teams
• Support implementation from analysis and requirements gathering through conception, piloting, testing, and go-live, maintaining focus on user acceptance and sustainable integration

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience consulting public sector clients on IT, digitalization, or transformation initiatives, with demonstrated ownership of consulting tasks or technical work packages
• Ability to quickly master complex technical topics, analyze and structure relationships, and derive sound options, recommendations, target frameworks, and concepts
• Experience collaborating with external clients and diverse stakeholders, communicating confidently across various organizational levels
• Passion for not only providing consulting but also implementing concepts with interdisciplinary teams and experiencing their practical impact
• Ideally, experience with public administration digitalization projects and/or technical knowledge of migration, internal affairs, or internal security
• Familiarity with administrative digitalization frameworks, data protection, or IT service management is a plus
• Completed university degree preferred
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and good English proficiency required
