As Senior Communications & Marketing Manager, you'll play a central role in developing and executing strategic communications and marketing initiatives. This hands-on position requires an experienced professional who can craft compelling narratives around advanced technology, manage media relations, drive brand development, and support stakeholder engagement across government, industry, and investment communities.

Responsibilities

Corporate Communications & Media Relations

• Develop and deliver communications strategies supporting business objectives and growth ambitions
• Draft press releases, media statements, executive briefing materials, and key messaging documents
• Build relationships with German and European media across technology, aerospace, defence, business, and policy sectors
• Support proactive and reactive media engagement ensuring accurate company representation
• Monitor media coverage, industry developments, and stakeholder sentiment

Marketing & Brand Development

• Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns targeting key audiences
• Maintain brand positioning across all external communications channels
• Create content showcasing company milestones, technological achievements, and partnerships
• Coordinate marketing materials including presentations, brochures, videos, and digital assets
• Support employer branding initiatives to attract top engineering and technical talent

Digital Communications & Content

• Manage content for company website, LinkedIn, and other digital channels
• Create engaging written, visual, and multimedia content for diverse stakeholder audiences
• Maintain editorial calendars and coordinate campaign delivery
• Track engagement metrics and analyze performance to inform future activities

Government & Stakeholder Communications

• Support communications related to government engagement, customer relationships, and strategic partnerships
• Develop messaging aligned with German, European, and NATO security priorities
• Prepare briefing materials for executive leadership at conferences and public engagements
• Coordinate with business development and programme teams to ensure messaging consistency

Events & Thought Leadership

• Support planning and delivery of trade shows, conferences, and corporate events
• Identify opportunities to position leadership and technical experts as thought leaders
• Develop speaking materials, articles, and conference content

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in communications, marketing, public affairs, or media roles
• Background in defence, aerospace, deep technology, advanced manufacturing, or highly regulated industries
• Strong German media literacy and understanding of mainstream, defence, and industry audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging communications
• Experience managing digital communications channels and content programmes
• Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Excellent judgement, attention to detail, and discretion with sensitive information

Highly Valued

• European media literacy across multiple markets
• Experience working with German federal ministries, defence organizations, or industry associations
• Familiarity with European defence, aerospace, and security ecosystems
• Experience supporting high-growth technology companies or scale-ups
• Background supporting senior executives or technical founders in external communications
• Knowledge of employer branding and recruitment marketing
